About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential heavy equipment manufacturer seeking a Territory Manager to cover the Midwest region, including Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Kentucky. This position plays a critical role in driving dealer relationships, customer engagement, and regional sales growth for advanced excavator attachment systems.
As the primary contact for regional sales activity, you will identify new business opportunities, support dealer success, and promote a comprehensive portfolio of excavator attachment solutions to contractors, municipalities, rental companies, and equipment dealers.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets across the Midwest region
- Build and maintain strong relationships with equipment dealers, contractors, municipalities, and rental companies
- Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and customer site visits to showcase excavator attachment solutions
- Support dealer sales teams through product training, ride-alongs, and technical guidance
- Assist with quoting, product selection, and application recommendations based on machine size and jobsite requirements
- Maintain CRM records, sales activity reports, and accurate pipeline forecasting
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs within the territory
- Coordinate and support trade shows, customer events, and product demonstrations
- Collaborate with internal departments including support, marketing, production, and leadership teams
- Provide basic troubleshooting assistance and coordinate service support when needed
- Manage territory travel schedule efficiently to maximize customer engagement
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in construction equipment, attachments, heavy equipment sales, or related industry
- Strong understanding of excavators, attachments, and construction equipment applications
- Proven ability to develop and maintain customer and dealer relationships
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities
- Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Must reside within the assigned territory
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with dealer distribution networks
- Knowledge of hydraulic attachment technology and advanced excavator systems
- Experience with CRM reporting and pipeline management

Physical Requirements:
