Stage Software Engineer – Paris – H/F/X

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data and AI consultancy seeking a Software Engineering Intern for their Paris office. In this role, you will:

• Participate actively in the design and implementation of robust, scalable technical solutions
• Software Architecture: Contribute to application architecture discussions, ensuring code performance and maintainability
• DevOps and Operations: Work on test automation and cloud deployments using CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform), package applications in containers (e.g., Docker), and implement data observability tools (e.g., DBT)
• Cloud Deployment: Deploy software on GCP, AWS, or Azure platforms
• Technical Expertise: Develop one or more of the following specializations: software development, analytical engineering, ML engineering, cloud architecture, or site reliability and security engineering
• Technology Watch: Explore new technologies and tools to optimize working methods

What We're Looking For

Education: You are a final-year engineering student, Master 2, or equivalent, specializing in software engineering, computer science, or web development, seeking an end-of-studies internship starting January 2027

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Go, or Scala
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming and/or functional programming principles
• Experience with SQL or NoSQL databases
• Familiarity with Cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure) and containers (Docker, Kubernetes) is a strong asset
• Knowledge of version control tools, particularly Git

The client's interview process includes four stages: an HR interview, a coding test with a Senior Software Engineer, an architecture and pipeline test with a Senior Software Engineer, and a motivation interview with a Manager or Director of the Data Engineering team.

This is a 6-month internship based in Paris (9th arrondissement), with the possibility of a permanent contract upon completion. You will be assigned a mentor and receive comprehensive onboarding including cross-functional skills training, internal project experience, and opportunities for cloud provider certifications.
