Nelson Laboratories is seeking a results-driven Sr. Manager Lab Operations - Bioburden to lead bioburden testing operations within the United States, helping advance the safety and quality of healthcare products worldwide.

About the Role

As the Sr. Manager Lab Operations - Bioburden at Nelson Laboratories, you will direct the day-to-day performance of bioburden testing services, ensuring laboratory output meets the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and turnaround. This full-time, on-site position in the US places you at the center of mission-critical lab testing that protects patients and supports the healthcare industry. You will balance operational leadership, scientific rigor, and people management to keep testing programs running efficiently and dependably.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee bioburden laboratory operations, workflow, and capacity to meet client commitments and quality targets.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of laboratory professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Ensure all testing follows regulatory requirements, quality standards, and established laboratory procedures.
• Monitor key performance metrics, troubleshoot operational challenges, and drive process efficiencies.
• Collaborate with quality, scientific, and client-facing teams to deliver reliable, on-time results.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience managing laboratory or operations teams, ideally within bioburden, microbiology, or related testing environments.
• Strong understanding of laboratory quality systems and regulatory expectations relevant to lab testing services.
• Proven ability to manage people, prioritize workload, and improve operational performance.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Authorization to work in the US for this on-site, full-time role.
