About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist with Encompass Health, you'll provide comprehensive speech-language pathology services to patients in our inpatient rehabilitation setting. You'll work alongside an interdisciplinary team in an environment where clinical excellence and patient-centered care drive outcomes. This part-time position allows you to apply your expertise to a diverse patient population while maintaining schedule flexibility.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and swallowing function across diagnoses
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with each patient's recovery goals
• Provide direct patient therapy and rehabilitation services throughout their hospital stay
• Document clinical findings, progress notes, and outcomes in patient medical records
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other care team members
• Educate patients and families on communication strategies and home exercise programs
• Participate in multidisciplinary team rounds and discharge planning

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current, valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
• Clinical experience in hospital or rehabilitation environments preferred
• Strong clinical and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams
• Dedication to compassionate, evidence-based patient care
