About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential digital services organization based in München that has been delivering transformative solutions since the early 1990s. Our talent team is seeking a Software Engineer to join their agile development teams working on diverse client projects spanning experience design, digital communication, and custom software development.

This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful technical challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performing digital products and platforms.

Responsibilities

• Independently implement complex features, components, interfaces, and technical areas within defined project scope
• Assess and design solutions with consideration for quality, effort, scalability, security, and long-term maintainability
• Identify technical risks and dependencies early, developing concrete mitigation strategies
• Enable stable releases through comprehensive testing, code reviews, documentation, and clean integration practices
• Clearly communicate technical impacts on project timing, scope, quality, and operations to stakeholders
• Contribute to improving engineering practices across teams and provide professional mentorship to junior engineers
• Manage clearly defined areas of responsibility with appropriate autonomy and accountability

What We're Looking For

• Several years of practical experience in software engineering for digital products and platforms
• Strong working knowledge of clean code principles, testing methodologies, API design, CI/CD pipelines, performance optimization, and security best practices
• Proven ability to independently plan and manage technical work within defined areas
• Experience assessing technical options for quality, business impact, effort, and feasibility
• Excellent communication skills in both German and English, with ability to engage effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
• Commitment to knowledge sharing, supporting junior colleagues, and pragmatically improving team workflows
• Experience working with maintainable, production-grade systems
