Software Engineer

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential EdTech organization that is reimagining how learners engage with education through innovative online platforms. Our talent team is seeking full-stack Software Engineers across multiple levels to join their growing technical organization in the United States and Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact engineering challenges spanning intelligent user interfaces, personalization systems, AI-assisted learning tools, data optimization, and platform development. The position is available for early-career through senior-level engineers, with scope tailored to your experience and the areas where you can drive the greatest impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, high-impact engineering initiatives across product innovation areas
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Product, Design, Data, and Engineering leadership to execute on technical roadmaps
• Apply AI-native development approaches using agentic workflows while establishing best practices
• For senior positions: mentor engineering team members and influence technical architecture across the organization
• Participate in agile ceremonies including standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, production deployments, and on-call rotations

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Professional software engineering experience (level determined by background and scope)
• Proficiency in technologies such as TypeScript, React, Node.js, GraphQL, and PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated track record in AI-native development and leading teams through adoption of AI-assisted workflows
• For senior roles: proven technical leadership setting architectural direction and elevating team capabilities
• Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical complexity for diverse audiences

Preferred:

• Background in educational technology or building products for learners and educators
• Experience with search, discovery, personalization, AI systems, tooling, data insights, or payment platforms
• Marketplace technology experience
• Track record at fast-paced startups or high-growth companies
