About the Role
As a Service Technician II at BMW of El Cajon in San Diego, you are a seasoned automotive professional trusted with the most demanding service work. Beyond routine maintenance, you tackle intricate diagnostic challenges, help allocate shop resources effectively, and contribute to ongoing efforts that keep our service department running at peak performance. This is a non-exempt position based at our San Diego County dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced repairs and scheduled maintenance across a range of vehicle systems with precision and care.
- Diagnose and resolve sophisticated mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues that require deep technical expertise.
- Coordinate closely with the service dispatcher to sequence work orders and keep jobs moving efficiently.
- Manage tools, parts, and time wisely to complete repairs accurately the first time.
- Support continuous improvement projects that strengthen quality, safety, and shop productivity.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill as an experienced automotive technician capable of handling complex repairs independently.
- Strong diagnostic ability and a methodical, detail-driven approach to troubleshooting.
