Commercial HVAC Superintendent

Kalos Services, a family-owned commercial HVAC, electrical, and plumbing contractor based in Central Florida, is hiring a Commercial HVAC Superintendent in Orlando, Orange County. This is a full-time position managing high-volume HVAC-R projects across retail, grocery, and commercial facilities throughout the region.

What This Role Involves

As Commercial HVAC Superintendent, you'll lead field teams on complex mechanical systems installations, maintenance, and repairs across Florida's largest retail and commercial properties. You'll coordinate with electricians, plumbers, and building automation technicians to ensure seamless project delivery, while maintaining safety standards, schedules, and quality on every job. Your technical expertise and leadership will directly shape how Kalos Services grows its reputation for reliable, professional commercial HVAC-R work.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor HVAC-R technicians on large commercial projects, from residential-scale grocery stores to enterprise retail chains
• Oversee system installation, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for rooftop units, chillers, air handlers, and building automation controls
• Coordinate with general contractors, facility managers, and other trades to meet project timelines and performance specs
• Ensure compliance with Florida building codes, EPA refrigerant handling requirements, and safety protocols
• Diagnose and resolve system performance issues and manage change orders with clarity and precision
• Track crew hours, material costs, and job profitability; communicate project status to leadership

What We're Looking For

• EPA Section 608 certification (Universal minimum; commercial preferred)
• 5+ years of commercial HVAC-R installation and service experience
• Proven track record managing crews and complex multi-trade projects
• Strong knowledge of commercial equipment (rooftops, split systems, chillers, VAV boxes, building controls)
• Excellent communication with field crews, office staff, and clients
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
