About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential defence technology organization based in Munich that is building critical sovereign capabilities for Europe. Our client is a high-growth, mission-driven team working at the intersection of advanced engineering and national security.

As Senior Technical Recruiter, you will own end-to-end hiring in Germany, working directly with senior leadership to build a world-class technical team. This is not a coordinator role—you will shape hiring strategy, set the quality bar, and be accountable for bringing in exceptional talent that directly impacts European technological independence.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle recruiting in Germany from role definition and sourcing through offer acceptance
• Partner with the Head of Talent and senior technical leaders to translate business priorities into targeted hiring plans
• Define role requirements and build structured interview processes with clear scorecards and success criteria
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for top-tier engineers and operators, with focus on defence-grade talent
• Manage pipeline and candidate data in ATS, maintaining clean stages and momentum throughout the process
• Deliver fast, high-signal candidate experiences with clear communication and decisive feedback loops
• Provide market intelligence on talent availability, compensation benchmarks, and competitive landscape in Germany
• Maintain quality standards through rigorous calibration, thorough referencing, and disciplined bar-raising
• Build repeatable systems including talent maps, sourcing playbooks, and referral programs that compound over time

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience as a senior technical recruiter with full life-cycle ownership of difficult technical roles
• Background recruiting in defence, aerospace, space, advanced manufacturing, autonomy, or deep tech hardware environments
• Understanding of secure hiring practices, export controls, and discretion required for sensitive programs
• Startup experience, ideally Series A or similar stage, with comfort in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
• Strategic mindset—you treat recruiting as a business function and can challenge briefs to sharpen requirements
• Ability to transform unclear needs into crisp role definitions with measurable success outcomes
• Proactive sourcing skills to build pipelines from scratch, not reliance on inbound applications alone
• Direct communication style with bias toward speed and accountability for results
• Commitment to excellence and unwillingness to compromise on quality for the sake of filling seats
• Based in or willing to relocate to Munich, Germany
