Senior Technical Project Manager (m/f/d)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential global education technology organization headquartered in Germany that is undergoing a significant platform transformation. They are hiring two Senior Technical Project Managers to own critical business systems work as the company transitions from a legacy technology stack to a modern one.

These are growth-path positions designed for software engineers ready to transition into technical project management. You'll own either Order-to-Cash integrations or CRM migration projects, gaining unusually broad exposure to enterprise systems while receiving structured coaching for your career development.

The organization operates over 100 systems globally and is consolidating to a modern stack including HubSpot, Metronome, Stripe, NetSuite, and Workato. Your challenge will be managing this transition while both stacks remain operational.

Responsibilities

Depending on track assignment (determined during onboarding based on your strengths), you will:

Track 1: Order-to-Cash Integrations

• Own the complete Order-to-Cash flow across both legacy and new technology stacks, ensuring orders, invoicing, billing, and revenue data move correctly through business systems
• Define integration ecosystem strategy including architecture patterns, reusable standards, and how new systems connect
• Partner with product teams as technical owner of new platform O2C integration architecture, including data models and API contracts
• Manage technical evaluation, SLAs, and build-vs-buy decisions for integration tooling and vendors
• Serve as technical point of contact bridging legacy and new-stack engineering teams

Track 2: CRM & Marketing Technology Projects

• Lead sunset projects for multiple legacy CRM instances, owning planning, timelines, execution, and data migration coordination
• Manage vendor relationship for primary CRM platform, including contracts, SLA performance, and roadmap alignment
• Own marketing automation tooling and execution layer while strategy remains with marketing teams
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with legacy system retirement, building technically sound rollback plans
• Coordinate complex cutover activities across dependent teams

What We're Looking For

Required:

• Software engineering background with experience building, maintaining, or integrating production systems
• Hands-on experience with APIs, middleware, or data pipelines
• Strong communication skills capable of explaining technical tradeoffs to engineers, vendors, and business stakeholders
• Detail-oriented approach to planning and executing complex, multi-stakeholder technical projects
• Ability to read and reason about system architecture and data models across connected systems independently
• Comfort with ambiguity and evolving scope boundaries during platform migrations
• Location in Germany with remote work capability

Preferred:

• Familiarity with billing, invoicing, or CRM systems such as Salesforce, NetSuite, HubSpot, Stripe, or similar platforms
• Experience with vendor management including contract and SLA negotiation
• Background in companies undergoing legacy-to-modern platform migrations
• Experience defining integration strategy or standards at organizational level
• Knowledge of integration architecture patterns (point-to-point, iPaaS/middleware, event-driven)
• Formal project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) helpful but not required
