About This Opportunity
We are representing a profitable fintech platform that has grown to serve over 200,000 small business customers across multiple markets. Our client is expanding their engineering presence in Portugal and opening a new office in Lisbon, seeking Senior Software Engineers to join as founding members of the team.
This role offers the chance to shape how engineering is done in a new location from the ground up. You'll start fully remote, transitioning to a hybrid schedule (two days per week on-site) once the Lisbon office opens. This is a multiple-headcount role with room for growth as the team expands.
Responsibilities
- Build robust and scalable solutions using.NET technology for business credit and payment products
- Own the full software development lifecycle from initial code through production deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Craft responsive, user-friendly interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, QA Engineers, and fellow Software Engineers
- Develop comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure software quality
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise in production environments
- Bridge technical requirements with business objectives, ensuring clear communication across teams
What We're Looking For
Required qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience with C#,.NET Core, and SQL Server
- Strong experience with JavaScript and React is highly desirable
- Solid testing practices in both unit and integration testing
- Good understanding of database technologies
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Passion for learning new technologies and skills
- Proactive, supportive, and collaborative approach to teamwork
Technical environment includes:
- Backend: C#,.NET,.NET Core
- Frontend: React, JavaScript
- Mobile: Flutter, Dart
- Databases: SQL Server, MongoDB
- Cloud: Azure and GCP
