BlackBerry is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to drive secure communications solutions across enterprise and government organizations based in South Korea. In this full-time role, you will combine deep technical expertise with business strategy to translate complex security requirements into impactful, client-focused outcomes.
The Opportunity
This position represents a key leadership opportunity within BlackBerry's Secure Communications division. You will partner directly with enterprise and government clients to understand their most pressing security, compliance, and communications challenges. Your role bridges technical innovation and commercial success—advising C-suite executives, designing tailored demonstrations, and guiding high-value deals from discovery through implementation. You will establish BlackBerry's competitive presence by articulating our security leadership and compliance capabilities against alternative vendors.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery conversations with enterprise and government stakeholders to understand business, security, and compliance requirements
- Translate technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes including risk reduction, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
- Engage directly with senior decision-makers (CIO, CISO, CTO) to influence purchasing strategy
- Architect and deliver custom product demonstrations aligned to specific customer use cases and environments
- Oversee Proof of Concept and Proof of Value initiatives, guiding clients from evaluation to deployment
- Develop and execute deal strategies that align technical requirements with commercial objectives
- Differentiate BlackBerry Secure Communications in competitive situations, emphasizing security heritage, compliance strength, and operational reliability
- Identify and address technical concerns throughout extended sales cycles
- Build partner capability and support scaled solution adoption across key enterprise accounts
- Train and mentor internal sales teams and reseller partners on technical aspects and customer success strategies
Qualifications
- 7 or more years of sales engineering or solutions engineering experience in cybersecurity or enterprise software
- Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise Mobility Management (UEM) and secure communications platforms
- Proven experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise sales processes involving substantial deals
- Ability to map technical solutions to business strategy and regulatory compliance needs
- Knowledge of regulated and compliance-intensive sectors such as government, financial services, and defense
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with skill in making technical subjects accessible to non-technical audiences
- Self-directed work approach with strong organizational and time management capabilities
- Collaborative working style across sales, product development, and partner organizations
- Experience deploying and supporting both cloud-based and on-premises infrastructure solutions
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with BlackBerry UEM or competing platforms (VMware Workspace ONE, Microsoft Intune, MobileIron)
- Preferred: Knowledge of device management workflows, operating system policies, containerization, and remote device administration across iOS, Android, macOS, and Windows
- Preferred: Familiarity with encrypted communications, end-to-end encryption protocols, and secure call architecture
- Preferred: Understanding of Voice over IP, Session Initiation Protocol, and enterprise phone system integration
- Preferred: Experience with mass notification platforms, crisis communication workflows, and multi-channel alert delivery
- Preferred: Familiarity with cross-organizational alerting and interoperability frameworks in government settings
- Preferred: Knowledge of public key infrastructure, identity and access management, and directory service integrations
- Preferred: Background in government or highly regulated industry sales
- Preferred: Fluent English language proficiency
