Senior Quality Technician – Kiewit Power Constructors

Kiewit, a leader in power construction, is hiring a Senior Quality Technician for our Plattsmouth, Cass County location. As a full-time member of the Quality team in Kiewit Power Constructors, you'll spearhead quality assurance and compliance initiatives that ensure project excellence.

About the Role

As Senior Quality Technician, you'll take ownership of quality planning and execution across power construction projects. This role focuses on developing robust quality plans, implementing quality procedures that meet contractual and regulatory standards, and maintaining the documentation systems that demonstrate compliance. You'll work within the Quality department of Kiewit Power Constructors, serving as a key leader in protecting project integrity and delivering results that exceed client expectations.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement comprehensive project quality plans and procedures tailored to specific project requirements
• Establish and maintain quality standards that align with industry regulations, client specifications, and company practices
• Conduct quality inspections and audits to verify compliance with design documents and specifications
• Create, organize, and maintain quality documentation and records required for project completion
• Work collaboratively with field teams, engineers, and management to identify and resolve quality issues
• Train and guide junior quality staff on procedures, standards, and best practices
• Monitor and report on quality metrics and compliance status throughout project phases

What We're Looking For

• Senior-level experience in quality assurance, quality inspection, or quality management within construction—particularly in power, industrial, or infrastructure sectors
• Thorough understanding of construction quality standards, specifications interpretation, and compliance frameworks
• Proven track record developing and implementing quality plans and procedures on active projects
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams
• Proficiency with construction management software and quality documentation systems
• Ability to work independently and take leadership on quality initiatives
