(Senior) Projektcontroller (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential organization in the Munich area seeking a Senior Project Controller to join their finance team. In this role, you will provide commercial support to ongoing projects, analyzing costs, results, and economic performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Accompanying current projects from a financial perspective and monitoring their economic development
• Creating and coordinating forecasts and budgets while analyzing plan-actual variances and tracking relevant performance indicators
• Preparing regular management reports and supporting periodic financial closings with meaningful analyses
• Collaborating closely with project managers, department heads, and financial leadership on economic questions
• Continuously developing controlling processes and tools to enhance transparency and manageability in project operations

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Controlling, or alternatively a commercial apprenticeship with further controlling qualifications
• At least five years of professional experience as a Project Controller, Controller, or Financial Controller, ideally with a focus on project controlling
• Strong knowledge of project controlling principles and solid understanding of commercial and accounting relationships
• Experience in construction or project-based business environments is advantageous
• Advanced Excel skills and practical experience with Power BI and LucaNet is highly desirable
• Strong analytical abilities, high affinity for numbers, and an independent, communicative working style when collaborating with departments and management
• Fluency in German is required for this position

This is a permanent, full-time position based in southern Munich with flexible working hours and partial remote work options.
