Senior Project Manager – Construction Fit-Out (UK / Europe)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential data centre infrastructure organization in their search for a Senior Project Manager to lead construction fit-out projects across the UK and Europe. In this role, you will manage the delivery of mission-critical facilities from design through to operational handover, with particular focus on fit-out and partnered projects.

Your core responsibilities will include:

• Leading data centre project delivery through all phases including design, construction, commissioning, and operational handover
• Managing project scope, schedule, and quality to ensure alignment with design intent and business objectives
• Coordinating and leading discipline Project Management across MEP and CSA packages, ensuring seamless integration
• Maintaining oversight of project budgets and schedules, reporting progress and identifying key risks
• Collaborating with design teams for reviews, approvals, and documentation control
• Working with general contractors to assess local construction capabilities, resource planning, and performance
• Driving adherence to program milestones and developing recovery plans when needed
• Building and maintaining a strong safety culture through active engagement and compliance auditing
• Chairing status meetings and maintaining clear communication between stakeholders and leadership
• Supporting compliance with building codes and regulatory requirements
• Leading risk identification and resolution, ensuring early issue tracking and remediation
• Collaborating across internal departments including Engineering, EHS, Finance, and Operations

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a construction professional with extensive experience in mission-critical infrastructure:

• Over 8 years of experience managing large-scale, mission-critical construction projects, including data centre developments and fit-out works
• Experience delivering projects integrating TCS loop liquid cooling networks is highly desirable
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-discipline delivery teams
• Strong knowledge of construction sequencing, scheduling, and coordination
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills with ability to lead in fast-paced environments
• Proficiency in project management and reporting tools
• Understanding of commercial and contractual principles to ensure alignment with cost and schedule targets
