SENIOR PROJECT GEOLOGIST / SENIOR PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST

About the Role

As a Senior Project Geologist or Environmental Scientist with Broadbent & Associates, Inc in the Atlanta area, you will oversee the end-to-end delivery of environmentally sensitive projects—from initial site assessment through remediation and closure. You will work across multiple states, leading technical investigations and ensuring regulatory compliance on behalf of industrial, municipal, and commercial clients. This is a full-time position based in our Atlanta, Fulton County office.

What You'll Do

• Direct geological and hydrogeological investigations, including site characterization, soil and groundwater sampling, and data interpretation
• Lead field teams and coordinate with environmental professionals to execute site assessments and remedial action plans
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and scope while maintaining quality and regulatory standards
• Prepare technical reports, permit applications, and compliance documentation for state and federal environmental agencies
• Communicate findings and recommendations to clients, regulators, and stakeholders
• Mentor junior geologists and environmental scientists; oversee quality assurance and data validation
• Stay current with environmental regulations and best practices across multiple state jurisdictions

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, hydrogeology, or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Professional Geologist (PG) license or Professional Engineer (PE) license with environmental focus, or clear path to licensure
• 7+ years of professional experience in environmental consulting, site investigation, or remediation
• Demonstrated expertise in environmental assessment, Phase I/II ESAs, groundwater evaluation, and regulatory compliance
• Strong project management skills with ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage client relationships
• Proficiency with geological and environmental software; GIS experience a plus
• Professional demeanor and excellent written and verbal communication skills
