Senior / Principal Consultant* – Business Functional Analyst Reporting & MIS (Private Banking)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential private banking client seeking a Senior or Principal Consultant to lead business functional analysis for management reporting and information systems. In this role, you will serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders, data teams, and IT, translating complex business requirements into sustainable reporting and management solutions.

Your responsibilities include:

• Advising international banking clients on the evolution of management information systems and reporting landscapes
• Taking functional ownership as Business Functional Analyst between business units, data teams, and IT departments
• Defining, harmonizing, and developing banking KPIs for retail banking, private banking, and wealth management
• Translating complex business requirements into functional concepts, reporting logic, and technical specifications
• Analyzing and optimizing reporting processes and data journeys across the entire reporting value chain
• Leading and moderating workshops with business divisions and senior stakeholders
• Managing functional requirements in international transformation and cloud migration projects
• Supporting testing, KPI validation, and implementation of new reporting solutions

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

• Minimum 5–6 years of experience in consulting or in the business division of a private bank
• Solid experience in reporting, MIS, or management information system environments
• Deep understanding of products and processes in private banking, wealth management, or retail banking
• Experience as a Business Analyst or Functional Analyst in regulatory or business transformation projects
• Strong knowledge of banking KPIs, management reporting, and sales steering
• Proven track record working with business, data, and IT stakeholders
• Experience moderating workshops and managing stakeholders at management level
• Analytical and structured working style with strong consulting competence
• Fluent German and English language skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience transforming global reporting and MIS landscapes
• Background in migrating MIS and reporting systems
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern BI architectures
• Experience with top management stakeholder engagement
• Private banking or wealth management reporting background
