About This Position

We are seeking experienced policy advisors to join our team at DOC (Department of Conservation) based in Wellington, New Zealand (nationwide) (nationwide). These secondment/fixed-term roles will run until March 2028 and offer the opportunity to shape and influence critical policies impacting nature conservation in Aotearoa.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Developing and implementing policy strategies that support our vision of thriving nature in Aotearoa
  • Conducting research, analysis, and stakeholder engagement to inform policy decisions
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals
  • Providing expert advice on environmental policies to senior management and government officials
