About the Role

The Ranger Community role involves building and maintaining strong partnerships with iwi, community groups, volunteers, businesses, and local stakeholders. You will work closely with communities to inspire, support, and grow conservation initiatives across the district. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Central Otago.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with iwi, community groups, volunteers, businesses, and local stakeholders.
• Support and grow conservation initiatives across the district through collaboration and engagement.
• Inspire and motivate communities to participate in and support conservation efforts.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in building relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• A proven track record of working effectively within community-based organizations or similar environments.
• Experience in conservation initiatives or related fields is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
