About the Role

The Workplace Relations Advisor will report to the Workplace Relations Manager and provide specialist employee and industrial relations advice. Key responsibilities include developing effective strategies, processes, and interventions to meet the department’s requirements under the Enterprise Agreement and Commonwealth legislation. The role involves conducting internal investigations into suspected APS Code of Conduct breaches.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on employee and industrial relations matters
• Develop and implement strategies, processes, and interventions to meet departmental requirements
• Conduct internal investigations into suspected APS Code of Conduct breaches
• Ensure compliance with Enterprise Agreement and Commonwealth legislation

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A relevant tertiary qualification in industrial relations or a related field
• Proven experience in employee and industrial relations within a similar environment
• Demonstrated ability to provide strategic advice on complex workplace issues
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information appropriately
