Senior Mechatronics Engineer

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential healthcare technology organization seeking an experienced Senior Mechatronics Engineer to join their engineering team on a remote basis. In this role, you will focus on delivering exceptional mechatronic hardware design for medical technology clients across multiple sectors including life sciences, diagnostics, drug delivery, and surgical applications.

Your day-to-day work will involve:

• Leading mechatronics developments and defining technical solutions for challenging mechanical problems
• Conducting first-principle engineering analyses and hands-on testing and experimentation
• Performing detailed machine design and implementation work
• Designing systems and components for manufacture with consideration for real-world constraints
• Collaborating with suppliers and communicating effectively with multinational clients
• Working alongside other engineering disciplines within supportive project teams
• Mentoring and developing junior engineers within your field of expertise

What We're Looking For

Our client seeks a candidate with strong mechatronics capability and genuine enthusiasm for the field. The ideal candidate will bring:

• An undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline (or equivalent industry experience)
• Proven industry experience in mechatronics and machine design
• High proficiency in CAD software, design analysis, structural analysis, rapid prototyping, technical drawings, design for manufacture, and design for assembly
• Specific experience in hardware design for moving machinery, ideally in a robotics context
• Strong communication skills and ability to understand and translate client requirements
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in cross-functional teams
