The Opportunity

As Senior Manager, Global Benefits in San Francisco, CA, you will own the structure, delivery, and continuous improvement of multi-country benefits offerings. The role combines strategic program design with hands-on vendor oversight and cross-functional partnership so employees everywhere receive competitive, compliant, and thoughtfully communicated support. You will operate inside a collaborative full-time setting that values clear priorities and measurable impact on people programs.

What You'll Do

• Architect and evolve global benefits frameworks covering health, retirement, leave, and wellness so they scale effectively and remain competitive in key markets.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with local statutory requirements, reporting obligations, and data-privacy rules that govern employee benefits.
• Select, negotiate with, and manage external carriers and brokers to secure cost-effective plan options and high service levels.
• Build annual budgets, conduct actuarial reviews, and present data-driven recommendations that balance employee experience with financial discipline.
• Create clear communication materials and training sessions that help managers and employees understand enrollment windows, eligibility, and plan value.
• Partner with HR business partners, payroll, and legal teams to integrate benefits changes into core people systems and processes.
• Track emerging global trends and recommend timely enhancements that keep Rippling’s benefits portfolio progressive and relevant.

What We're Looking For

• Substantial prior experience managing multi-country benefits programs at a senior level, ideally within high-growth organizations.
• Deep familiarity with international benefits compliance, tax considerations, and vendor contracting practices.
• Demonstrated strength in quantitative analysis, cost modeling, and translating insights into executive-ready recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills that enable clear stakeholder alignment across time zones.
• Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end while collaborating seamlessly with finance, legal, and people teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related discipline; advanced credentials in benefits or total rewards preferred.
• Willingness to work onsite full-time from the San Francisco, CA office.
