About This Opportunity
Our talent team is representing a confidential climate technology company that provides environmental intelligence software to major industrial enterprises. We're seeking a (Senior) Key Account Manager to own and expand their automotive customer portfolio in Munich.
This is a high-impact role where you'll manage existing enterprise accounts while developing new strategic relationships in the automotive and industrial supplier sectors. You'll work directly with executive leadership to shape account strategy and drive meaningful expansion.
Responsibilities
- Own and grow a portfolio of existing automotive enterprise accounts, driving expansion and increasing platform adoption
- Identify, develop, and close new strategic accounts within automotive OEMs and Tier 1/2 suppliers
- Build multi-threaded relationships across sustainability, procurement, and operations stakeholders at large automotive organizations
- Translate carbon accounting and environmental intelligence capabilities into concrete value for automotive-specific challenges including supply chain decarbonization
- Execute consultative, value-based sales processes (MEDDIC or SPICED methodology) rather than feature-led approaches
- Collaborate with technical deployment teams to ensure account success and renewal readiness
- Contribute strategic input on outcome-based and AI-driven selling motions
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years in enterprise SaaS sales or key account management with demonstrated quota overachievement and career progression
- Experience selling into automotive OEMs or Tier 1/2 suppliers with understanding of industry transformation challenges
- Background in PLM, enterprise software, or value-based SaaS environments, ideally with automotive or industrial manufacturing exposure
- Prior startup or high-growth company experience building processes and systems
- Proven track record of growing existing accounts and meeting sales targets
- Fluent German and English
- Based in or willing to relocate to Munich with ability to work in-office 3 days per week
