Senior IT Services Lead (m/w/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential technology client seeking a Senior IT Services Lead for their Heidelberg office with hybrid flexibility (up to two days remote per week).

In this role, you will:

• Provide technical leadership for the IT Services team, acting as a sparring partner for team members and IT management while ensuring smooth daily operations and reliable service delivery
• Work hands-on in IT support when needed, supporting complex requests and IT incidents while actively contributing your technical expertise
• Coordinate and prioritize team tasks, ensuring clear responsibilities, balanced workload distribution, and reliable coverage
• Continuously develop IT service processes, standards, and documentation while identifying opportunities for standardization and automation
• Recognize recurring problems and inefficient workflows, implementing sustainable improvements to service quality and efficiency
• Collaborate closely with IT management on priorities, escalations, and improvement initiatives while managing operational team coordination

What We're Looking For

• Degree or apprenticeship in IT or comparable practical experience with at least 5 years of professional experience in IT Services, IT Operations, or IT Support—ideally with experience in technical team leadership
• Strong technical expertise combined with a hands-on mentality and enthusiasm for both developing solutions yourself and providing technical support to others
• Experience with IT service management, ticket and request management, documentation, and process standards
• Ability to set priorities, coordinate workloads, and ensure reliable service delivery in a dynamic environment
• Strong knowledge of workplace IT, Identity & Access Management, endpoint management, and SaaS applications
• Proven experience optimizing processes and identifying opportunities for standardization, automation, and efficiency improvements
• Excellent German and English language skills, both written and spoken
