About the Role
In this Senior HVAC Technician position, you will provide hands-on support for our commercial and industrial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning infrastructure. Based in Hauppauge, you'll work independently across multiple sites, applying your technical expertise to keep our systems operating at peak performance while managing a diverse range of equipment challenges.
What You'll Do
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system malfunctions using specialized diagnostic equipment and technical knowledge
- Execute preventive maintenance programs on air conditioning, heating, and ventilation equipment
- Perform repairs and component replacements to restore system functionality and efficiency
- Travel between multiple facility locations, independently prioritizing maintenance work and technical assessments
- Document all service activities, system conditions, and maintenance records for operational tracking
- Apply mechanical expertise to optimize system performance and extend equipment service life
What We're Looking For
- Substantial hands-on experience with commercial and industrial HVAC system installation and service
- Demonstrated proficiency in diagnosing complex HVAC equipment problems
- Current New York State HVAC certification and appropriate trade licenses
- Comfortable working independently and managing responsibilities across multiple locations
- Reliable transportation and availability to travel between facility sites
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment maintenance safety standards
- Familiarity with diverse HVAC equipment platforms and technologies
Work Schedule
This position operates on a standard Monday through Friday schedule, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, as a full-time union role.
