(Senior) Global Product & Brand Manager (m/w/d) | Hair Professional

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential beauty organization seeking a Senior Global Product & Brand Manager to lead the development and management of a professional hair-care portfolio. Reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee two direct reports while managing the complete product lifecycle from concept through commercialization.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Drive product management and portfolio strategy across the entire product lifecycle, including formulation briefings, packaging development, market launch, and portfolio optimization
• Build and maintain supplier relationships, coordinate product development processes with manufacturers, and negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and production terms
• Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, pricing studies, consumer insights, and trend assessments to inform product and assortment planning
• Manage project and product budgets independently, including cost and margin calculations, profitability analysis, and optimization
• Lead product launches end-to-end, including timeline management, bill of materials development, forecasting, and coordination with sales, supply chain, and international markets
• Organize and oversee internal and external product testing to validate claims, efficacy, and quality standards
• Develop creative concepts for product communication and take ownership of communication campaign conception and execution with cross-functional teams
• Collaborate closely with online marketing and social media teams, providing content ideas, technical input, storyboards, and briefs for digital campaigns

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned product professional with several years of experience in product management and product development, ideally gained in FMCG, beauty, or professional hair-care environments. Relevant titles include Senior Product Manager, Product Development Manager, Global Product Manager, Product Innovation Manager, Product Portfolio Manager, or Category Manager.

Essential qualifications:

• Completed university degree with substantial hands-on experience managing products throughout their entire lifecycle
• Deep knowledge of product development, supplier management, production coordination, and lifecycle management
• Proven ability to analyze pricing, costs, margins, competitive landscapes, and markets, translating insights into actionable product and business decisions
• Strong track record in go-to-market planning, launch management, and developing innovative product concepts
• Experience collaborating and negotiating with external suppliers, manufacturers, and international partners
• Leadership experience or readiness to lead and develop team members, with enthusiasm for motivating, coaching, and delegating responsibility
• Excellent analytical and conceptual skills with strong problem-solving abilities and organizational strength
• Outstanding communication skills, negotiation expertise, and persuasive ability with internal and external stakeholders
• Entrepreneurial mindset with courage to champion new ideas and drive them through to successful products, campaigns, and projects
• Fluent German and English language skills required

The role is based in München with hybrid flexibility.
