Senior Fullstack Developer (m/w/d)

About This Role

We are representing a confidential public sector IT services organization based in Hamburg. Our client is seeking a Senior Fullstack Developer to join their Finance team and contribute to digital transformation projects that impact millions of users across Germany.

In this role, you will build high-performance applications from backend to frontend, working with Java, Spring, and React. You'll contribute your expertise across development, automated deployment, and quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend components using Java/Java EE and Spring framework
• Build modern user interfaces with React and JavaScript/TypeScript
• Implement database access layers and integrate with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Containerize applications with Docker and manage deployments using Kubernetes
• Integrate and maintain CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins to automate build, test, and deployment processes
• Create and execute unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito to ensure software quality

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on software development experience with strong knowledge of Java/Java EE and Spring
• Confident working with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for modern frontend development
• Experience with CI/CD processes and Jenkins for automated application delivery
• Knowledge of containerization with Docker and application management with Kubernetes
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL; familiarity with application servers like JBoss is advantageous
• Ideally, experience with JUnit, Mockito, and test-driven development practices
• Very good German language skills at B2 level and basic English at A2 level
• Willingness to attend regular on-site meetings in Hamburg with approximately 80% remote work
