Senior Associate Attorney (California Licensed), (Workers’ Compensation)

About This Opportunity

We are representing a confidential California-based law firm seeking a Senior Associate Attorney to lead and supervise their Workers' Compensation practice. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with firm leadership while mentoring a talented team of attorneys and support staff. Our client has built a practice centered on exceptional case strategy and attorney development—without the traditional billable hour pressures found at most firms.

This remote position offers experienced Workers' Compensation attorneys the chance to focus on what matters: winning cases, developing talent, and delivering outstanding client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the Workers' Compensation practice, ensuring strong case outcomes and exceptional client service
• Offer guidance on complex legal matters, case evaluations, and settlement negotiations
• Mentor and develop fellow attorneys to maintain consistent, high-quality representation across all matters
• Step in to handle trials, hearings, and negotiations as needed
• Conduct client educational webinars and address escalated client matters
• Foster a positive, collaborative, and team-oriented culture within the practice group

What We're Looking For

• JD and active membership in good standing with the California State Bar (required)
• 5-7 years of Workers' Compensation experience; applicant and defense mix strongly preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities with a track record of developing junior attorneys
• Excellent written, verbal, and negotiation skills
• Passion for advocacy and commitment to delivering meaningful results for clients
• Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment

Pay

This is a full-time, remote position based in California. Our client has indicated the role offers compensation between $160,000 and $250,000 annually, commensurate with Workers' Compensation experience.
