Senior Accountant

Prime System Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. This full-time position offers the opportunity to lead accounting operations, manage financial reporting, and drive operational excellence within a forward-thinking organisation.

About the Role

As Senior Accountant at Prime System Solutions in Lahore, you will oversee core accounting functions and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth. This role combines technical accounting expertise with leadership responsibility, making you a key member of our finance department. You'll work with modern accounting systems whilst maintaining rigorous compliance with Pakistani accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements in compliance with local accounting standards
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger operations
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing procedures, reconciliations, and adjusting entries
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and maintain audit trails
• Supervise junior accounting staff and provide technical guidance on accounting matters
• Support tax planning and compliance activities in coordination with external advisors
• Analyse financial data and prepare management reports to support decision-making
• Maintain internal controls and document accounting policies and procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or equivalent professional qualification
• Professional accounting certification (ACCA, ACA, or similar) preferred
• Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience in a supervisory or senior role
• Expert-level proficiency with accounting software and MS Excel
• In-depth knowledge of Pakistani accounting standards and tax regulations
• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams
