About the Role

As a Senior Account Executive focused on the public sector, you'll own the end-to-end sales cycle for complex enterprise deals with government agencies and public organizations. This is a strategic, relationship-driven position where you'll identify new opportunities, manage high-value accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that solve critical public sector challenges around data intelligence and operational efficiency.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and execute sales strategies targeting public sector accounts in your territory, identifying decision-makers and key stakeholders
  • Qualify and pursue opportunities aligned with Teradata's intelligent platform capabilities for government agencies
  • Lead technical and business discussions with C-suite and procurement teams to understand organizational needs and present tailored solutions
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through contract negotiation and closure
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key accounts, ensuring customer success and expansion opportunities
  • Collaborate with sales engineers, product specialists, and internal teams to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and pipeline objectives
  • Stay current on public sector market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape

What We're Looking For

  • 7+ years of enterprise software sales experience, with demonstrated success in complex, high-value deals
  • Established track record selling to government agencies, public sector organizations, or federal accounts
  • Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes, compliance requirements, and buying cycles
  • Proven ability to engage at executive levels and navigate multi-stakeholder decision-making environments
  • Experience selling data, analytics, cloud, or enterprise software solutions
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced sales environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with prospects and customers
