About the Role
You'll play a central role in the Design Development and Construction Documentation phases of architectural projects. This is a hands-on drafting position where your technical skills and attention to detail directly impact project clarity and buildability. You'll work in a collaborative environment with experienced professionals who value quality documentation and professional growth.
What You'll Do
- Prepare detailed construction drawings, plans, elevations, and cross-sections using current CAD software
- Develop design documents during the design development and construction documentation phases
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure drawings reflect project intent and specifications
- Review and revise drawings based on feedback and project changes
- Maintain consistency across drawing sets and adherence to industry standards
- Assist in preparing bid sets, permit drawings, and construction documents
- Support project teams with material research, specification refinement, and technical documentation
What We're Looking For
- 3-6 years of professional drafting experience in an architectural or construction-related field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD or Revit; familiarity with both is a plus
- Strong understanding of building codes, construction methods, and architectural conventions
- Excellent spatial reasoning and ability to visualize three-dimensional designs
- Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to producing error-free documents
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Problem-solving mindset and willingness to take on varied technical challenges
