Security Specialist Veterans Preferred – Atlanta GA

Msccn is hiring a Security Specialist for our Baltimore, Baltimore County office. We're seeking experienced security professionals to strengthen our organization's protection and risk management capabilities. This is a full-time position available immediately.

About the Role

As a Security Specialist at Msccn, you'll take on a key position protecting our assets, information systems, and personnel. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your expertise directly supports our operational security posture and helps safeguard critical business functions.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and maintain security systems and controls across physical and digital assets
• Conduct security assessments and vulnerability evaluations to identify risks and gaps
• Respond to security incidents and breaches, coordinating investigation and remediation efforts
• Manage access controls, permissions, and credential systems for personnel and systems
• Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices
• Maintain compliance documentation and support regulatory audit requirements
• Collaborate with leadership to implement security recommendations and improvements
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to staff

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated security expertise and practical experience in security operations or related fields
• Strong knowledge of security principles, threat detection, and risk management
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and procedures
• Professional certifications (such as Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) are a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
