Sales Manager – Midwest (Industrial Fluids / Specialty Chemicals)

System One is seeking a Sales Manager to lead industrial fluids and specialty chemicals sales across the Midwest, based in Lansing, Michigan. In this full-time, field-based role, you'll grow territory sales, build strategic customer relationships, and drive revenue targets across Michigan and surrounding states.

About the Role

As Sales Manager for our Industrial Fluids division, you'll own the complete sales cycle across Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Wisconsin (with Michigan as your primary focus). This is a direct-hire position combining hands-on selling with territory management and customer development. The role is field-based with approximately 60% travel throughout your territory. Your schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with flexibility for customer visits and pipeline management activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies for assigned territory, managing a pipeline of industrial fluid and specialty chemical accounts
• Build and maintain customer relationships with manufacturing plants, distributors, and industrial operators across the Midwest region
• Identify new business opportunities and close sales in target markets
• Manage territory growth, quota achievement, and revenue performance metrics
• Provide technical product knowledge and application guidance to customers and prospects
• Represent System One at industry events, trade shows, and customer facilities

Qualifications

• Sales management or technical sales experience in industrial chemicals, specialty fluids, or manufacturing sectors
• Demonstrated success in territory development and meeting sales quotas
• Technical knowledge of specialty chemicals, industrial lubricants, or process fluids
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with ability to work cross-functionally
• Ability to travel 60% of the time and manage field-based operations independently
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for regional territory travel
• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred
