Responsable Métrologie – Transport de Biologie H/F/X

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential express logistics organization in the Paris region. Reporting to the Director of Operations, you will oversee metrology compliance for temperature-controlled biological specimen transport. You will manage one to two team members responsible for daily metrology monitoring across national facilities.

Your core responsibilities include:

• Define and implement the company's metrology policy, ensuring regulatory compliance for biological specimen transport
• Maintain temperature measurement equipment (sensors, recorders, probes) through verification, calibration, and qualification processes
• Analyze deviations and implement corrective actions in line with ADR (UN3373), NF EN 12830, NF X15-140/COFRAC standards
• Study, specify, and oversee installation of refrigerated transport equipment and onboard monitoring systems
• Manage daily oversight of two telemetry platforms (one covering the majority of the fleet, one in testing phase) and supervise the proprietary internal tool that generates real-time temperature alerts
• Coordinate with IT to communicate evolution needs and contribute to continuous tool improvement
• Work with Fleet Management to schedule installations and maintenance while minimizing operational impact
• Train drivers on cold-chain best practices (loading, door management, visual checks)
• Maintain a dashboard of temperature non-conformities, manage penalty billing, and provide Quality of Service reporting to operations and sales teams
• Identify and select metrology equipment and service vendors, participate in RFPs, and monitor supplier performance
• Prepare documentation and evidence for quality audits conducted by laboratory clients (calibration certificates, temperature histories)
• Develop procedures, track performance indicators, conduct root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree (Bac +3 or equivalent) in a technical, quality, or analytical field
• 2–3 years in a technical, quality, or analytical role
• Experience in healthcare product transport, pharmaceutical logistics, laboratory environments, or temperature-controlled transport is valued but not required

Technical Skills:

• Ability to study technical cases and support decision-making
• Foundational knowledge of metrology, calibration, and cold-chain management
• Familiarity with biological specimen transport regulations (ADR – UN3373, NF X15-140/COFRAC)
• Temperature data analysis
• Proficiency with office software and metrology tracking platforms
