What This Role Involves

As a Residence Life Coordinator, you'll shape the living experience for students in our residential communities. This role focuses on creating intentional, inclusive residential environments where students thrive academically and personally. You'll blend program development, community building, and student support to strengthen campus life at Emory University in Atlanta.

What You'll Do

• Develop, present, and evaluate educational and community programs that enhance student learning and foster belonging within residence halls
• Track and measure the effectiveness of programs through assessment data and student feedback
• Coordinate and supervise residential staff to ensure quality operations and consistent support
• Address student concerns and conflicts with professionalism and care
• Build partnerships across Emory's campus to enrich residential programming and services
• Foster inclusive, welcoming communities that celebrate diversity and belonging

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
• Prior experience in student development, residence life, or a related field in higher education
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed
• Commitment to supporting student success and fostering inclusive community
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
