As an Assistant Academic Research Scientist in this research-intensive biomedical engineering environment, you will support the development and execution of laboratory research initiatives. You'll work within a dynamic academic research program focused on advancing innovation in medical science and engineering applications.

What You'll Do

• Conduct experimental research and contribute to data collection, analysis, and interpretation
• Assist in designing and implementing laboratory protocols and procedures
• Maintain detailed laboratory records, documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with faculty, graduate students, and interdisciplinary research teams
• Support manuscript preparation and presentation of research findings
• Contribute to grant preparation and research proposal development
• Troubleshoot technical issues and optimize experimental methodologies

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering, biology, chemistry, or a related physical or life science discipline
• Strong foundation in research principles, experimental design, and scientific methodology
