What This Role Involves

As a Research Scholar and Laboratory Technician, you'll work at the intersection of animal and molecular biology, supporting active research within the Academic Biochemistry program at Wake Forest University Health Sciences. You'll contribute directly to research initiatives while developing and maintaining the technical expertise essential to modern laboratory science.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory procedures and techniques specific to animal and molecular biology research
• Prepare and maintain biological samples and research materials according to established protocols
• Operate and troubleshoot specialized laboratory equipment
• Record and organize research data and experimental results with precision
• Support principal investigators and research teams in daily laboratory operations
• Follow and maintain strict laboratory safety and biosafety protocols
• Assist with equipment calibration and preventive maintenance
