Hartford Hospital is seeking compassionate Registered Nurses (RN) and Graduate Nurses (GN) for part-time positions across our Specialty Medical Nursing Units in Barkhamsted, Litchfield County. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced nurses, new graduates, and student nurses to grow their clinical skills in a dynamic healthcare environment.

About the Role

Join Hartford Hospital's team and deliver direct patient care in our specialized medical units. As a part-time Registered Nurse, you'll work flexible shifts including days, evenings, and nights, with weekend and holiday scheduling options available. We offer various scheduling arrangements to support your work-life balance while meeting patient care needs.

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct bedside nursing care to patients in our Specialty Medical Nursing Units
  • Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and communicate changes to the healthcare team
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
  • Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records
  • Advocate for patient needs and ensure quality, compassionate care delivery
  • Respond to patient requests promptly and address comfort and safety concerns

What We're Looking For

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) license in Connecticut
  • Clinical nursing experience or recent completion of an accredited nursing program
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and professional accountability
  • Flexibility to work various shifts and schedules
  • Physical ability to perform nursing duties including standing, lifting, and mobility assistance
