What You'll Do
- Assume temporary care for assigned neuro and trauma patients during staff breaks, performing thorough assessments and monitoring vital neurological and physiological indicators
- Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to established orders and unit protocols
- Document all observations, care provided, and changes in status accurately and promptly in the medical record
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to maintain seamless communication and coordinated response to patient needs
- Respond effectively to emerging situations, implementing trauma or neurological emergency procedures when required
- Support unit flow by prioritizing tasks efficiently across the 8-hour night shift in Visalia, California
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license valid for practice in California
- Theoretical knowledge and preferred hands-on experience supporting neuro or trauma patient populations
- Demonstrated ability to function independently during break-relief assignments with strong critical-thinking skills
- Current Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications
- Availability and stamina for 8-hour night shifts as part of this full-time Registered Nurse-Neuro/Trauma Break RN 8-hour shift PT Night schedule
