Position Summary

Windham Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Graduate Nurse (GN) for the Med Surg Telemetry unit. This position offers full-time employment with 12-hour night shifts and every other weekend work, including rotating holidays.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and administer appropriate care in a med-surg telemetry setting
• Provide support to patients and families through compassionate and professional nursing practices
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Document patient care activities, treatments, and observations accurately and timely
• Participate in the Nurse Residency program for newly licensed nurses, which includes support, resources, and mentorship

What We're Looking For

• A recent graduate or newly licensed RN with a valid Connecticut license
• Prior experience in med-surg or telemetry is preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Ability to work flexible shifts including 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and rotating holidays
• A commitment to patient care and a willingness to participate in the Nurse Residency program for professional development
