Registered Nurse – Graduate Nurse (RN, GN) – Med Surg Telemetry

Windham Hospital in Stafford, Tolland County, is now hiring a full-time Registered Nurse – Graduate Nurse (RN, GN) to join our Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. This is an excellent opportunity for newly licensed nurses to launch your healthcare career with structured support and mentorship from day one.

About the Role

As a Graduate Nurse on our Med-Surg Telemetry team, you'll provide direct patient care in a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment. This full-time position is based at Windham Community Memorial and offers 12-hour night shifts with every other weekend rotation and rotating holiday coverage. You'll work alongside experienced nurses and clinical leaders who are invested in your growth and professional development.

What You'll Do

• Deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to med-surg and telemetry patients
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and patient responses to treatment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about their care
• Document patient information accurately in our electronic health record system
• Support a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

• Current Connecticut RN license or Graduate Nurse (GN) status
• Recent nursing school graduate or new to clinical practice
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and professional development
• Willingness to work nights and rotating weekends
