About the Role

As a Speech Pathologist at our Fort Bend County rehabilitation facility, you'll deliver evidence-based speech and language pathology services to adults recovering from stroke, neurological injuries, trauma, and other conditions. Your clinical expertise will directly impact patients' ability to communicate, eat safely, and regain independence during their stay.

What You'll Do

• Evaluate patients' speech, language, voice, and swallowing function using standardized assessments
• Design and deliver individualized speech-language pathology treatment aligned with each patient's recovery goals
• Monitor treatment effectiveness and adjust therapy strategies based on patient progress
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and outcomes in the patient medical record
• Collaborate with physiatrists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and other team members to coordinate care
• Counsel patients and families on communication techniques and home practice strategies

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
• Current Certificate of Clinical Competence from ASHA (CCC-SLP) or eligibility to obtain
• Valid Texas state speech-language pathology license
• Clinical experience in adult rehabilitation or acute care settings (preferred)
• Excellent clinical reasoning and interpersonal communication abilities
• Weekday schedule flexibility to meet facility and patient care needs
