The Opportunity

Backus Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse - Graduate Nurse (RN, GN) to join our team in Norwich, Connecticut. This role offers full-time employment with every other weekend shifts and rotating holidays. As an integral part of the Patient Care Unit E3, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient conditions and develop individualized nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Assist with patient procedures and examinations under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in ongoing professional development activities

What You Bring

• A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred, but not required for graduate nurses. A current RN license in Connecticut is mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Experience in critical care or related field preferred but not required for graduate nurses
