Position Summary

The position of RN (Registered Nurse) in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU/1South) at UAB Medicine is a part-time opportunity. The schedule includes both day and night shifts from 7 to 7. This role requires dedication to patient care within a critical environment.

Core Duties

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU/1South unit, ensuring all medical protocols are followed.

• Evaluate patient condition regularly and communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding changes in patient status.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama is required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience working in an intensive care unit, preferably in a medical setting.
• Strong clinical skills and ability to handle high-stress situations with composure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction and team collaboration.
