Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform rapid triage and focused assessments on patients entering the emergency department
• Initiate and manage emergency nursing interventions for trauma, cardiac events, and other acute conditions
• Administer ordered medications, fluids, and treatments while closely tracking patient responses
• Collaborate with the full care team to order diagnostics, interpret findings, and refine care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, and results accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, procedures, and next steps in care
• Uphold rigorous safety, infection-control, and privacy standards throughout every encounter
• Participate in unit readiness activities and contribute ideas for continuous improvement

Skills & Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license valid for practice in Pennsylvania
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• Active Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications
• Solid clinical judgment and the ability to act decisively under pressure
• Clear verbal and written communication skills for patients, families, and colleagues
• Proficiency with electronic health records and emergency documentation workflows
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach to high-stakes patient care
