CalPortland is seeking an experienced Ready Mix Plant Manager in Lomita, Los Angeles County, to lead day-to-day concrete production and build a high-performing, safety-driven team. About the Role

As the Ready Mix Plant Manager, you will direct the complete operation of CalPortland's ready-mix facility in Lomita, partnering daily with batch operators and drivers to keep production moving efficiently. This on-site position blends strategic planning with practical, in-the-field management, holding accountability for output, equipment, people, and site facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee ready-mix plant production, daily operations, and the upkeep of site facilities.
  • Work side by side with batch personnel and mixer drivers to coordinate scheduling and dispatch.
  • Develop operating plans and manage the plant budget to meet performance targets.
  • Drive efficient, cost-effective operations and maximize equipment utilization and uptime.
  • Champion workplace safety and ensure full environmental regulatory compliance.
  • Lead, supervise, and develop plant staff across all shifts.
  • Maintain consistent product quality that meets customer specifications and expectations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing ready-mix concrete or comparable heavy-materials production operations.
