About This Position
This role involves building and maintaining automated testing systems for a fast-growing technology company. As an automation-first engineer focused on Playwright and TypeScript, you will collaborate closely with frontend and backend engineers to enhance regression coverage, reduce flaky tests, and ensure high-quality releases throughout the development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and expand end-to-end automation using Playwright and TypeScript.
- Develop scalable automation frameworks for critical product workflows.
- Improve regression coverage across frontend and backend systems.
- Write reliable, reusable, and maintainable automated tests.
- Identify and eliminate flaky tests to improve test execution speed and framework stability.
- Troubleshoot issues related to DOM interactions, asynchronous behavior, and network requests.
- Maintain reliable automation environments across releases.
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Support reliable deployments through continuous testing of the environment and test data strategies.
- Continuously improve automation coverage, reliability, and engineering best practices.
What You Bring
You should have experience in test automation with a strong focus on Playwright and TypeScript. A proven track record of improving regression coverage and reducing flaky tests is essential. Additionally, you must be able to work closely with frontend and backend engineers, participate in release planning, and leverage AI tools for exploratory testing.
