This full-time position offers the opportunity to direct major commercial projects from conception to completion, working with a team recognized for delivering ground-up builds across diverse industry sectors.

About This Position

This General Contractor, a privately held firm with deep roots and reputation in the regional construction market, is expanding its project management leadership. You'll manage complex commercial construction projects ranging from $10 million to $30 million in value, maintaining direct oversight of budgets, timelines, safety protocols, and stakeholder relationships. The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to navigate multi-phase builds in competitive market conditions.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Lead pre-construction planning, including cost estimating, scheduling, and resource allocation for large-scale commercial projects
• Oversee site operations, coordinate trades and subcontractors, and maintain quality and safety standards throughout construction phases
• Manage project budgets, track expenses, forecast spending, and prepare regular financial reports for ownership and clients
• Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions with clients, engineers, architects, and internal teams
• Ensure compliance with permits, building codes, contract terms, and applicable regulations

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience managing commercial construction projects of significant scale
• Strong grasp of construction methods, estimating, scheduling, and cost control
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to lead cross-functional teams
• Proficiency with construction management software and standard office technology
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
