We're hiring a Tax Manager – SALT to join our CPA firm in Weathersfield, Connecticut. In this full-time role, you'll specialize in State and Local Tax compliance and advisory services, serving our clients across diverse industries and tax jurisdictions.

About the Role

As a Tax Manager – SALT, you'll lead our State and Local Tax practice, delivering comprehensive compliance and strategic advisory services to clients navigating complex multi-state tax obligations. You'll combine technical tax expertise with client relationship management to build trusted partnerships and drive results.

What You'll Do

• Develop and implement State and Local Tax compliance strategies for clients across multiple jurisdictions
• Prepare, review, and file SALT tax returns and documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Provide strategic tax advisory services focused on planning, risk mitigation, and optimization
• Research and apply current state and local tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through consultations, recommendations, and follow-up
• Lead and mentor tax staff members, fostering quality work and professional growth
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to deliver integrated tax and accounting solutions

What We're Looking For

• Valid CPA license
• 5 or more years of hands-on experience in State and Local Tax compliance and advisory work
• Extensive knowledge of multi-state tax nexus, apportionment, and compliance requirements
• Strong command of SALT tax planning concepts and position analysis
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• Proven ability to manage complex tax engagements and supervise team members
