Program Director R&D PMO

HK Recruiting is recruiting for a Program Director, R&D Program Management Office position in Glasgow, New Castle County. About the Role

As Program Director overseeing R&D Program Management Office operations, you'll direct complex, cross-functional programs that accelerate innovation in medical device and therapeutic solutions. Your leadership will directly impact how advanced Breast and Skeletal Health products reach patients globally, combining disciplined program execution with strategic product development.

What You'll Do

• Lead end-to-end R&D program management from conceptualization through market launch and commercialization
• Orchestrate collaboration across research, clinical, regulatory, manufacturing, and commercial functions to achieve integrated program objectives
• Create and maintain comprehensive program plans, budgets, timelines, and resource assignments aligned with business strategy
• Monitor program performance, identify emerging risks, and implement timely corrective actions to ensure success
• Deliver strategic updates and actionable insights to executive leadership and key stakeholders
• Continuously refine PMO processes and methodologies to enhance program delivery efficiency
• Manage expectations and maintain transparent communication across the organization and external partners
• Contribute to strategic initiatives within the Breast and Skeletal Health market segment

What We're Looking For

• 7+ years managing programs or complex projects, preferably in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or healthcare technology
• Proven success leading multi-functional teams through large-scale product and program initiatives
• Deep knowledge of PMO methodologies, tools, and frameworks (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar certification preferred)
• Strategic mindset combined with strong operational, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Experience working in regulated healthcare environments a plus
• Demonstrated ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution
